Laguna Colorado or Red Lagoon is a shallow salt lake area and one of the most attractive natural wonders of the world. It is in the south west of the altiplano of Bolivia within Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve and almost close to Chile. The famous lake is a source of inspiration and contains borax islands which are heavily based on colors contrasts with the reddish color of its waters caused by the basic constituents like red sediments and pigmentation of some algae.




The location can be easily explored because the lake is the breeding point for famous flamingos. It is worth mentioning that there are over 50 species of bird which can be seen flying in the sky towards the lake and cab act as perfect sight seeing for the visitors.
